Kindergarten and First Grade

 All students in grades K - 6 attend a computer class once a week. Throughout these grades, the emphasis is to teach computer skills that compliment classroom curriculum. Students complete work and projects which reinforce a skill or a theme that is being taught in the classroom.

Kindergarteners and First graders are taught the basics of using computers by identifying its basic parts and their functions. Programs like KidPix, Jumpstart, Microsoft Word, and various “kid - friendly” websites teach the operation and usefulness of the computer.
